LPG® has a 25-year reputation in the treatment of connective tissue disorders. It has become a leader in the field of natural and non-invasive treatments which is validated by more than 80 studies and 200 scientific publications.

LPG® was founded in the mid 1980’s by Louis Paul Guitay in France. Mr. Guitay invented a method of treatment to help rehabilitate damaged muscle tissue as well as to treat burns and scars.  His objective was to standardize physical therapy by providing precisely calibrated and consistent treatment through massage. It has since evolved to include treatments in wellness, beauty and sport.

This natural, non-invasive approach is accomplished with an LPG® Cellu M6i which is classed as an 11a medical device controlled by the A.F.S.SaP.S (French Agency for the Safety of Health Products.) LPG® Endermologie™ carries the CE mark which is the manufacturer’s declaration that the product meets the requirements of the applicable EC directives. It is a mandatory conformity marking within the European Economic Area and it is recognized by Health Canada, license no. 75865.

The Cellu M6i works by applying a gentle negative pressure which creates a fold in the skin and mobilizes  it through two motorized rollers.

The patented technique is applied according to specific therapeutic protocols and is performed by a healthcare professional to address pathologies of the connective tissues resulting from disease, trauma, surgery or disabilities.

Areas of application include medical, surgical and sports orientations and its therapeutic values are backed by over 110 scientific studies and 100 publications. This information can be accessed through www.cosire-lpg.com.

Physiological Effects of Endermologie™

The mechanism of action was scientifically studied at UCLA School of Medicine using both human and
animal subjects. The SUS scorfa swine model was studied by using subcutaneous endoscopy, photography, gross tissue examination and histological examination. The human subjects were studied by using lymphoscintigraphy, skin perfusion venous color-flow Doppler ultrasonography and laser Doppler blood flow analysis of skin perfusion.

Laser Doppler measurements showed a 4-fold increase in cutaneous blood flow. This increase peaked 10 mins post treatment and lasted for more than 6 hours.

Color-flow Doppler measurements showed increases in the flow velocities of the subcutaneous veins within the adipose tissue and a concomitant decrease in flow velocities of the deep muscular veins.

The conclusion in this study was that, Endermologie™ produces a profound physiological alteration in cutaneous perfusion, subcutaneous perfusion and lymphatic flow. This effect seems to be delayed and prolonged lasting for hours after completion of the treatment.
