Platelet Rich Plasma therapy is a safe and effective strategy for facial rejuvenation. It is safe since PRP is produced from your own blood; therefore there is no risk of an allergic reaction.
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is an extract of your own blood that contains three to five times more platelets, releasing growth factors, and active proteins for tissue and injury healing. PRP mimics the sub dermal tissue. For facial rejuvenation, when PRP is injected beneath the skin it will cause a localized healing response, over time increasing collagen that has been damaged or lost through the aging process. Leaving you with healthy skin that looks refreshed, and rejuvenated.
This procedure is completely different to Dermal Fillers and has a different result. Dermal fillers restore lost volume by injecting Hyaluronic Acid into the areas where volume is lost. PRP does not create that effect and will not volumize but rather plump and rejuvenate the quality and texture of the skin. It has a great effect on fine lines & wrinkles. These two procedures can be combined into one.
Nasolabial Lines, Marionette Lines and Chin Face

Thighs & Buttock Stretch Marks
PRP is used in treating the following;

Tightening and toning skin
Mild collagen and volume loss
Crow’s feet and dark under eye circles
Dull dry skin
Back of hands
How many treatments are needed?
Usually three treatments are recommended generally 6 weeks apart. (This may vary from patient to patient) PRP Rejuvenation is a gradual process with changes continuing to show up to three to six months after the treatment. Generally PRP lasts about 2 years. Some people elect to do a single session annually after the initial 2 years, to boost and lengthen the effect of the original group of treatments. On the treatment day, the entire visit lasts approx. 1.5 hours. The actual procedure requires about 20 minutes per area.
There have been no known side effects reported to date. Some patients may experience some mild irritation, swelling, bruising, itching, discoloration or tenderness at the injection sites. These are temporary conditions and typically resolve within two days.

What is PRP?
PRP is an autologous blood treatment that stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. A small volume of blood is drawn from the patient, processed via centrifugation to concentrate platelets in the plasma, and then injected in to the targeted area.
How does PRP Work?
Platelets, can be thought of as healing factories, as they release growth factors that assist in accelerating tissue regeneration and healing.
This powerful serum (Platelet Rich Plasma) is drawn into a syringe containing calcium chloride, which activates the platelets. Activated platelets release growth factors, the proteins responsible for repair and regeneration of tissue, including hair, stimulating the stem cells located in the Dermal Papilla. The activated platelets are then introduced to the affected area by fine needle injection.
Published medical literature from Europe and the United States confirms the safety and use of PRP therapy. PRP therapy has established itself to be effective as a medical treatment modality in the specialty fields of oral surgery, neurosurgery, plastic and cosmetic surgery, sports medicine and orthopedics. It has been used extensively in these specialties for the last two decades with generally positive outcomes and success.
Who should not have PRP Treatment?
Patients with platelet disorders, acute infection, active cancer, unregulated diabetes.
